I am writing to remind you of the power of the media and the dangers of encouraging prejudice on an ethnic people.

Jews and Israel are being vilified as “morally corrupt.” Remember history and heed the role of emotion in propaganda.

There is an atmosphere tense with anti-Semitism as our neighbors join the alliance against Israel. Some even have the audacity to redefine Zionism, a virtue signal that does nothing to solve the crisis we face.

Dave Granlund’s cartoon you posted Sept. 8 goes far beyond opinion; he continues to poke the beehive with his demonizing tropes. We are approaching the anniversary of Hamas’ massacre on our people. Any attempt to find moral equivalence in a terror group’s actions with the consequences of the conflict that followed to eradicate military threat is blood libel.

We have a language built on peace, connection, and diversity. To treat us as a homogeneity is a grievous mistake. To not allow for nuance is deception and impudent of Jewish attitudes and experience.
