Maine State Police are assisting in the investigation of human remains discovered in Falmouth on Saturday, said spokesperson Shannon Moss.
Falmouth police found the remains after receiving a report of a suspicious object on the Presumpscot River bank near Walton Park.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police major crimes unit at 207-657-5710.
