JAY – On Thursday, Sept. 12, two Central Maine Power [CMP] representatives set up a table from noon to 5 p.m. in the Jay Town Office for their Community Connection Event.
The event has taken place in multiple towns across Maine over the last year as a way to provide another avenue for customers to ask questions and address concerns about their personal accounts.
CMP Spokesperson Dustin Wlodkowski said that many people approach these events with concerns about their power usage and that representatives can offer advice on how to lower it.
“The best way we can assist customers is for them to reach out directly to us,” said Wlodkowski.
CMP residential customers with questions or concerns can call 800-750-4000 for live assistance or find other resources on the CMP website.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
