GREENE — The Greene Historical Society is set to offer a presentation, Having a Wonderful Time in Downtown Greene, Maine!, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17.

The event, to be held at The Old Town House, 98 Maine St., looks back at  Historic Greene Village postcards from the early 1900s.

Maine historian Lew Alessio will share vintage images of the village in its heyday.

Wall-size enlargements of historic postcards will be shown, and the audience will have a chance to share memories, ask questions, and identify ancestors and landmarks. Attendees can bring their own vintage village picture postcards they might have stored away and have them projected for conversation and an hour or so of reminiscing.

The presentation is free, but donations are accepted. For more information call 207-946-5049.
