WILTON — United Way of the Tri-Valley Area is gearing up for another amazing Halloween event! Halls of Horror, our premier haunted house, at 128 Weld Road, Wilton: the old Bass Shoe factory – will run this year on Oct. 18, 19, 25 and 26 from 7 – 10 p.m. The last group will go in at 9:30 p.m. United Way is excited to offer this indoor haunt so weather will not deter attendees…only fear is stopping them now.
United Way worked once again with Halloween guru Nicholas Graham (from Wicked, Rumford) and Jocelyn Mosher-Collins (Livermore Falls Haunted Walk) in the design, layout, and decoration of this year’s haunt. In conjunction with phenomenal volunteers, a new, bigger location, and community sponsors, this year’s haunted experience will rank up with top attractions across the U.S.
People will have four opportunities to test their scare level and three different experience options:
Event dates:
• Friday, Oct. 18, & Saturday, Oct. 19; 7 – 10 p.m. (last group in at 9:30 p.m.)
• Friday, Oct. 25, & Saturday, Oct. 26; 7 – 10 p.m. (last group in at 9:30 p.m.)
Ticket Options (tickets are available at www.uwtva.org or at the door cash/card):
• General Admission – $25 – which is terrifying on its own.
• VIP Pass – $35 – includes the option to ‘jump the line’ as well as 1 free beverage ticket (alcoholic or non-) and access to the ‘Last Ride’ coffin burial experience. This is a great option for those wanting to visit more than one haunt in an evening and minimizes the wait.
• The Hall Pass – $45 – includes all VIP options, another drink ticket, access to the ‘Last Ride’, access to the Escape Room and…more importantly, offers the ultimate experience. It includes the option to be touched by the actors…a more ‘terrifying’ experience, for sure. We wish these attendees the best of luck.
Halls of Horror has quickly become United Way of the Tri-Valley Area’s largest fundraiser, and it’s important to share that each person’s participation in this event leads to 100% of the proceeds being invested right back into our community through programs like transportation, youth and basic needs. So, gather your more courageous friends and family, eat your Wheaties, and brave this year’s haunt. You won’t regret it. Tickets are available online (www.uwtva.org) and at the door. Be sure to stay tuned to our Facebook (www.facebook.com/hallsofhorrormaine) for special announcements.
Check out some feedback from last year:
“My heart is still pounding, I was terrified, it was amazing.”
“100% recommend. I have never been to a better haunted house/walk. My 15-year-old hasn’t stopped talking about how much fun she had and how her throat hurts from screaming!”
“Hands down the best one I have been to in a long time. 10/10 highly recommend…they did amazing, absolutely amazing. Great job to all who were involved.”
United Way would like to thank the generous Halls of Horror sponsors Poland Spring, Western Mountain Financial Services, Full Bloom Hydroponics & Garden Center, ReGenerate, Ware Butler, and Mardens. We look forward to making this an amazing experience.
