Parents, school officials and others will discuss the recent bomb scares at Lewiston High School at 7 p.m. Monday at the school.
“We’re not trying (to) rehash anything. We’re not trying to create an issue,” said Paul Beaudette, chairman of the school’s Parent Involvement Committee, which organized the meeting. “All we’re trying to do is make sure all the parties understand each other. We want this to be a very positive forum.”
Beaudette said Superintendent Leon Levesque and Principal Rick Sykes plan to attend, as do School Committee Chairwoman Peggy Rotundo, Vice Principal Roger Lachapelle, Regional Technical Center Director Don Cannan, Food Services Director Mike Sanborn, Police Chief Bill Welch, Drug Abuse Resistance Education officer Ron Dumont and District Attorney Norm Croteau or a representative of his office.
Bomb scares closed the high school for four days in November. Police have arrested three juveniles in connection with the crimes and continue to investigate.
