ANDOVER – Elaine C. Morton, 82, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, at her residence on the Upton Road in Andover.
Elaine was born in Rumford, Maine on August 22, 1942, and was a daughter of John and Alice (Cole) Jodrey, Sr. She attended Andover Schools and worked at Andover Wood Products, Mills Market and the Andover Town Clerk.
She was a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Andover and was 39-year member of the Andover Fireman’s Relief Association. She loved sewing, baking, and spending time with family.
She was married in Andover on March 29, 1958, to Hanson “Hank” Morton, Sr who died in Andover on Feb. 15, 2015.
Elaine is survived by her sons, Hanson Morton, Jr, John Morton and Robert Morton all of Andover, daughters, Dorothy Swan and companion Mike Hart of Bethel, Cheryl Rockwood and husband Rick of Hanover, Pamela Chartier and husband Daniel of Georgia, Paula Miceli and companion Mike Perrault of Rumford, Debra Gauvin and husband Rick of Virginia, and Betsy Morton of Bethel; grandchildren, Rebecca Morton Gren, Kassie Cox, Rebecca Swan, Douglas Swan, Kyle Gauvin, Marissa Graffam, Kayla and Joseph Morton, Christopher and Bryan Morton, Corbin Salway and Alan and Ryan Theriault; great grandchildren, Grady Swan, Mariah Morton and Avery Salway, Natalie and Hailey Morton, Parker Morton, Anniston Graffam, Octavia Jones, Layton Chapman, Jagger Salway, and Dean Cox; a brother, Richard Jodrey and wife Rhonda of Andover, sisters, Loretta Huston of Sanford, Roberta Pease of Rumford and Rosemary Taylor of Dayton. She was predeceased by brothers, John Jodrey, Jr and Kenneth Jodrey and Leroy Jodrey, and a sister Virginia Morton.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, at the Andover Congregational Church. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Andover. Friends and family are invited to call at the Meader & Son Funeral Home 3 Franklin St Rumford, on Sunday from 5 – 8 p.m.
