RUMFORD – Lucienne “Luci” (Dufour) Gilbert, 83, died on Jan. 7, 2025, at the Rumford Community Home.
Born on Feb. 19, 1941, she was the daughter of Gerard and Regina (Dionne) Dufour. She attended local schools and was a 1958 graduate of Mexico High School.
On May 9, 1958, she married Donald Gilbert, who died on May 10, 2017. She worked at many companies – Boise Cascade, Irving Forest Products, Rumford and Mexico Water Districts, Rumford Hospital, Isaacson and Raymond, P.A. and the Rumford District Court
Luci and Donald traveled extensively, visiting all continents except Antarctica.
She is survived by her son, Dean Gilbert and his son, Christopher; daughter, Jodi Labrash, her husband Andre and their children Abby and Aaron; niece, Linda and friend Sharon, Richard’s son, Richie; Bruce and his wife Laurie and their children Heather Kierstead and Adam Gilbert.
She was predeceased by two sons, Andrew and Matthew; two sisters, Janine Palmer and Doris Fulton, brothers-in-law Wilbur, Harold, and Richard Gilbert, sisters-in-law Helen Gilbert, Maxine Gilbert, Gladys Gilbert, and Ethel Gilbert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Parish of the Holy Savior St Athanasius St John Church, 126 Maine Ave., Rumford, on Monday Jan. 20 at 10 a.m., followed by a reception in the church basement.
