I write in support of Mark Wood’s letter published Dec. 19 calling out the Sun Journal for the incredibly offensive political cartoon that it chose to print comparing President Trump to Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin and Vladimir Putin, among others.
By choosing to put him in with the worst of the worst Time People of the Year, cartoonist Dave Granlund showed us more about himself than Trump. Had Granlund chosen to show the people selected by Time magazine over the last five or 10 years that would have been fine, but instead dug through history to find the worst of them and put Trump in with them.
As if any sane and rational person would associate Trump with communist dictators and men that have committed genocide. Really? “Come on, man.”
Then to read all the letters from the Democratic lemmings who call Trump and his supporters haters and divisive, if only they could look at themselves in a mirror and truly see who the haters are and realize how ugly it makes them look and sound to rational people.
Yes, America Trump Derangement Syndrome is real, and the letters to the editor prove it on an almost daily basis. For example, the letters questioning Trump’s administration.
Do I need to bring up Sam Brinton, President Biden’s former deputy assistant secretary for Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition, who was going to airports to steal luggage?
When people find someone in Trump’s administration who compares to that person, they can let me know.
