NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank is continuing its support of the Alan Day Community Garden with a $15,000 commitment over three years, including a $5,000 check last month.
The garden organization also offers a Community Supported Agriculture program, hosts the Norway Farmers’ Market throughout the summer, operates a free food pantry, and provides community meals and events. The garden will use its new commercial kitchen this year to host after-school cooking programs. During the summer, the organization’s free youth leadership program teaches skills in gardening, cooking, resiliency and life.
The bank also recently donated $1,500 to The Progress Center in Oxford, as well as $500 to the Norway Fire Department.
