LIVERMORE FALLS — A Livermore Falls man is expected to be extradited to Colorado after he was charged Friday with sexual exploitation of a child in Broomfield County, Colorado.

The U.S. Marshals Service arrested 29-year-old Patrick Byrne on two counts of sexual exploitation of child, according to a news release.
A warrant for Byrne’s arrest was issued in Colorado on Nov. 4, 2024, according to the Marshals Service. When he was arrested, he was also charged with being a fugitive from justice.
“Based upon an investigation from the United States Marshals Service, Maine Violent Offender Task Force, Investigators developed information that Byrne was currently residing in Maine,” according to the release. “Through a collaborative effort, the USMS, Maine Violent Offender Task Force was able to locate Byrne and safely apprehend him at a residence in Livermore Falls, Maine. Byrne was charged as a fugitive from justice and is pending extradition back to Colorado.”
The news release did not provide details about the crimes for which Byrne is accused.
Byrne is being held without bail at the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn.
