The Lewiston and Auburn both announced winter parking bans set to take effect Sunday night into Monday morning.
Lewiston’s ban is from 9 p.m. Sunday until 8 a.m. Monday; Auburn’s ban is 7 p.m. Sunday until noon on Monday.
Vehicles not removed from Lewiston streets will be towed at the owner’s expense, according to a Saturday news release.
Vehicles may park at the following Lewiston parking garages: Centreville Garage, 62 Canal St.; Chestnut Street Garage, 29 Chestnut St.; Lincoln Street Garage, 16 Lincoln St.; Oak Street Garage, 1 Oak St. and Southern Gateway Garage, 425 Lisbon St.
The parking ticket received upon entry into any municipal garage is required when exiting.
To use Auburn’s winter relief parking lots, one must have a permit, which are free at the Auburn Police Department. Vehicles in the parking lots must be moved by midnight on the day the ban expires.
