Geno Paione clears his driveway Monday in Lewiston. A truck driver for the past 26 years, he said Sunday night’s storm was a mess to drive in. He hauled a load of water to Framingham, Massachusetts, and what is normally a two-and-a-half-hour drive took four and a half hours. “It was a very long night. It was not a fun ride,” Paione said. “It started out great and turned into a horror story” with freezing rain south of Biddeford. “That’s why I hate winter,” he said. Daryn Slover/Sun Journal
