SWEDEN — A Massachusetts man crashed his pickup truck into a Lovell Road home late Wednesday night, according to an Oxford County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Sean T. Demaggio, 52, of Wilmington, Massachusetts, was driving his 2020 Ford F-250 truck when he drove through the Lovell and Waterford roads intersection at a high rate of speed into a home at 1 Lovell Road, the release said.
The truck struck an exterior wall causing the home’s chimney to fall on top of the truck.

Demaggio suffered life-threatening injuries, police said. He was transported to Bridgton Hospital and then to Portland’s Maine Medical Center via LifeFlight.
Nobody was in the home at the time and Demaggio had no passengers, according to police.
A crash reconstructionist from the Sheriff’s Office responded and assisted with the investigation.
The crash is still being investigated, but police believe speed was likely a factor.
