Marc G. Currie
ZEPHYRHILLS, Fla. – Marc G. Currie, 68, of Zephyrhills, Fla. died Dec. 19, 2024, from complications of pneumonia. He was born on Jan. 20, 1956, to Merrill T. Currie Sr. and Constance Ouellette Currie at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, Maine.
Marc was educated in local schools and was a self-employed Carpenter for many years.
In his younger years he enjoyed skiing, snowmobiling and fishing at Popham Beach. While living in Florida he also enjoyed fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. He was fun-loving, hosting Halloween parties at his home for family and friends. He often played Santa Claus at private homes and local businesses.
Marc and his wife were retired and enjoying life in Florida. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and a good friend to many. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Brenda; his daughters Caitlyn (Kaleb) Peaco and their daughter Autumn, Jamie (Jared) Lewis and their children, Abigail, Nolan, and Luke; his sisters, LouAnn and Patrice Currie, Jean Marie Currie and husband William Lee, and Lisa (Robert) Mancini. He also survived by and had a close relationship with nephews, Evan and Ganan Mancini. Other survivors include nieces, nephews and several cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother Merrill Currie Jr.; and his favorite cousin Kim Paul (Kippy) Brooks who he considered a brother.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, March 15, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church, 2365 Turner Rd., Auburn, Maine.
