The Town of Norway has posted the following roads, effective Wednesday, March 5, until posts are removed.

Ashton Rd, Bill Howe Rd, Camp Cinnamon Rd, Cobb Rd, Country Club Rd, Crockett Ridge Rd, Cushman Woods Rd, Daniels Rd, Don Hunt Rd, Dunn Rd, Eddie Kahkonen Rd, Emerson Rd, French Rd, Frost Hill Rd, Gore Rd, Greenwood Rd, Hayes Rd, Hemingway Rd, Herrick Rd, Holt Rd, Larson Rd, McKay Rd, Morrill Rd, Morse Rd, Norway Center Rd, Old Stage Rd, Patch Mtn Rd, Penn Rd, Pikes Hill Rd, Pleasant St, Ralph Richardson Rd, Ricker Rd, Roberts Rd, Rolling Meadow Dr, Round the Pond Rd, Shedd Rd, Sodom Rd, Thomas Hill Rd, Thurston Rd, Town Farm Rd, Upton Bros Rd, Watson Rd, Wiley Rd & Yagger Rd If you have specific questions about a posted road, please call the Public Works Garage at (207) 743-5305.

Norway Rec programs:

Spring Baseball, Softball & Tee-ball signups are now being accepted, and are due by April 11.

Monthly After School Open Gym: Thursdays, April 17 & May 15. This allows parents who would like to attend ECHO meetings an extra-curricular activity for their child to participate in during the ECHO meetings. This is a free program. Signups can be found at the Norway Town office or accepted on the day of.

Easter Egg Hunt: This year’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 12, at 10 a.m. at Lake Penn Park. Join us for an egg hunt, games, music, and photos with the Easter Bunny.

Family Fishing Festival: The 10th annual Norway Family Fishing Festival will be held on Saturday, May 31.

Cemetery Department

Town Office:

Nomination papers are available at the Norway Town Office beginning Friday, March 7, for the following positions:

Two (2) members of the Norway Selectboard for a three (3) year term.

One (1) member of the MSAD #17 Board of Directors for a three (3) year term.

Three (3) members of the Norway Memorial Library Board of Trustees for a three (3) year term.

Nomination papers must be returned to the Norway Town Office no later than April 11, with at least 25 and not more than 100 signatures of Norway registered voters. Persons returning nomination papers containing proper signatures will be placed on the June 10 election ballot.

The next Select Board meeting will be held on April 17. Select Board meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Town Office.

The next Planning Board meeting will be on April 10. Planning Board meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 7 p.m. at the Town Office.
