DEAR SUN SPOTS: Where can I drop off donations to the Kaydenz Kitchen Thrift Store you featured? I have a lot of great things to donate that are left over from the garage sale at Hebron Academy. I love Sun Spots. Thank you! — Ainslie, no town
ANSWER: As stated in the May 23 Sun Spots, the location is 551 Lincoln St. in Lewiston. Donations are accepted during the hours of operation, Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Closed from 2-3 p.m. for lunch), and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thank you so much for thinking of this organization and donating to them.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m writing to correct information about the SHAREcenter’s request that was recently in Sun Spots. We do not collect the items mentioned in that post. Those are items for other organizations helping the community.
We do accept items for schools and nonprofits that can be used in their programs. For example, we can always use art supplies, crafting materials, children’s books, clean containers, office supplies, small bookcases, and other small furniture or storage units, to name just a few of the things that we collect.
If you think you have items our members can use or have any questions about our program, call or text us at 312-3810 before you come over to our 675 Main St. location in Lewiston. — SHAREcenter Volunteer Committee, Lewiston
ANSWER: I apologize for the confusion and I appreciate you writing to correct that information and set us straight. Thank you for all the good work you do!
