NORWAY — The Norway Museum and Historical Society summer program series concludes on Tuesday, August 12, with a special program at the Norway Memorial Library. Brad Cummings will speak about the interesting history of our library, built in 1938, after the town received a generous offer from S. Maude Kaemmerling, a summer resident and the library’s benefactor. The presentation will also include a personal appearance by Mrs. Kaemmerling, portrayed by Jancie Cazneau.
The program begins at 7 p.m. at the library, 258 Main Street in Norway. Admission is free and the public is always welcome. Light refreshments
will be served after the program.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
