The 5th Annual Oktoberfest at Saddleback Mountain is set for Saturday, Oct. 4. It is going to be a keg-tossing, stein-hoisting, brat-eating, beer-flowing good time you don’t want to miss. Festivities begin at 11 a.m., with live music by TJ Swan from 11-1, and Toby McAllister and The Sierra Sounds 1:30-3:30 p.m. Enjoy family-friendly activities, axe-throwing, German-style food and drink, craft beer and cider sampling, and the local vendors.
Tickets are $20 if purchased by Wednesday, Oct. 1, and $30 is purchased after. Tickets are available at saddlebackmaine.com.
What to expect
Scenic Lift Rides are not included in admission.
Keg Toss & Stein Hoisting – these events will run all day. Qualify for the Stein Hosting Championship until 2 p.m.

Craft beverage samplings
Fall clearance sale on skis, boards and winter apparel.
Vendor Village – visit vendor booths for sweet treats like apple crisp and local goods.
Festival Rules
This event is rain or shine. We love our four-legged friends as much as you, but due to the size of this event and activities, dogs are not allowed into Oktoberfest. No outside food or beverage, cooking devices, weapons, fireworks, illegal drugs.
Octoberfest 5K
For those ambitious and brave folks, you can run up the mountain to earn your Oktoberfest beers! Get ready to harvest the hill at the Oktoberfest 5k. This a fun, yet challenging course. Runners will gain nearly 1,200 feet in elevation as they climb the Saddleback work road. Expect gravel and uneven surfaces.
Registration is open. Please note 5k registration does not include entrance into Oktoberfest, you will need to purchase a separate ticket and show proof of purchase into the event.
Spectators can view runners at the start and finish just above The Sandy Quad.
Race rules and information
Race is rain or shine.
No dogs. No hiking poles.
Plenty of free parking.
Registration area is located inside the main base lodge. Bib/ T-shirt pick up will be on race day beginning at 8:30 a.m. Race begins at 10:00 a.m.
To register, visit saddlebackmaine.org. Registration fee is $50. Registration will close 24 hours prior to the race. No morning of registration.
Top three male/female finishers will recieve prizes
All registered runners receive an event t-shirt. Requested shirt size will only be guaranteed 7 days prior to the race, then it will be first come, first served sizing.
Season Pass Pick-Up
We invite all 2025/2026 season passholders who have purchased online and do not have an existing RFID card to print their season pass at our pick-up boxes during Oktoberfest. Please see an outdoor pick-up box and scan your order confirmation QR code. The ticket office team will be available to assist if needed.
