Brody Poland returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown and rushed for a score, and Leavitt eased past Medomak Valley 50-6 in a Class C football matchup Friday in Waldoboro.
Mason Henderson also reached the end zone twice for the Hornets (3-1).
Leavitt quarterback Landon Marquis opened the scoring with a 12-yard run in the first quarter. His 32-yard pass to Henderson in the second quarter made it 14-0, then Poland’s two touchdowns extended the lead to 28-0 at halftime.
Henderson added a 63-yard TD run in the third quarter. Leavitt’s final two touchdowns were a 5-yard run by Nathan Karkos and a 7-yard pass from Marquis to Landen Reny.
The Panthers (2-2) scored on a 35-yard pass from Wyatt Simmons to Owen Dostie.
POLAND 55, LISBON 0: Damon Martin ran for three touchdowns, tossed two scoring passes and returned an interception for a score as the Knights (3-1) defeated the Greyhounds (0-4) in Poland.
Martin’s three rushing scores were from 10, 51 and 50 yards. He finished with 149 yards rushing on six carries. Lucas Verrill and Landon Cooper each caught a 30-yard touchdown pass from Martin.
Martin’s interception return was 85 yards.
Christian Benson scored from 12 yards for the Knights, and Sawyer Ramsdell scampered for a 38-yard touchdown.
OLD ORCHARD BEACH 50, TELSTAR 12: The Seagulls (4-0) raced to a 36-0 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a win over the Rebels (2-2) in Old Orchard Beach.
Old Orchard Beach quarterback Trot Moody ran 5 yards for a score and passed for three touchdowns — 34 yards to Cooper Gallant, 53 yards to Wes Gallant and 30 yards to Daniel Cashman.
Wes Gallant added two TD runs and Cooper Gallant also had a scoring run.
Telstar got second-half touchdown runs from Austin Mosher (2 yards) and Brody Walker (39 yards).
WESTBROOK 47, EDWARD LITTLE 15: Gio Staples passed for four touchdowns and ran for another, leading the Blue Blazes (3-1) past the Red Eddies (1-3) in Auburn.
Staples connected with Cole Tanner for 16 yards and Owen Taylor for a 20-yard TD in the opening quarter. Early in the second quarter, an 88-yard run by Tanner set up a 1-yard run by Staples that made it 20-0.
Edward Little quarterback Evan Madigan scrambled for a 34-yard touchdown run, but Westbrook quickly answered with a 54-yard strike from Staples to Dimitri Lubin for a 27-6 halftime advantage.
The Red Eddies cut into their deficit in the third quarter, getting a 45-yard field goal from Matt Fecteau and a fumble recovery in the end zone by Kohlson Alexander after Westbrook botched a shotgun snap.
The Blue Blazes, though, regained control in the fourth. Staples threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Peter Wescott, and a takeaway by Westbrook’s defense led to a 39-yard TD catch by Lubin.
Westbrook’s Andre Hicks III capped the scoring with a 56-yard run.
MORSE 22, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 18: Dylan Root threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score, and the Shipbuilders (2-2) withstood a second-half comeback by Falcons (0-4) in Bath.
Root scored from the 1 in the second quarter and tossed a 26-yard TD that gave Morse a 14-0 halftime lead. His 12-yard scoring pass in the third quarter extended the margin to 22-0.
Mountain Valley got on the board later in the third when Cole Curtis ran for 36 yards. Dylan Theriault caught TD passes of 48 and 15 yards from Blake Small in the fourth quarter, but the Falcons missed all three of their conversion attempts.
Small completed 12 of 21 passes for 240 yards. Theriault finished with four receptions for 89 yards.
