William J. Marland

LEWISTON – William J. Marland, 72, of Lewiston, died on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025, at Russell Park Living Center following a long illness.

“Bill”, as everyone knew him, was born on Sept. 16, 1953, in Littleton, N.H., the son of the late Herbert and Maris (Reinhart) Marland.

He worked as a tractor trailer driver most of his life. During his lifetime, Bill enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson.

He is survived by his companion, Diane B. Anctil and her daughter Christine McCrellis and her husband James; his two daughters, Hillary and her husband Elijah True and granddaughter, Evie; and Brittany and her husband Christopher Cote and granddaughter, Clara; his three sisters, Terri Poole, Kathy Bragg and Wanda Yulfo; and many nieces and nephews.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Beacon Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion during Bill’s final days.

A memorial service honoring William’s life will be celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 11 a.m., at The Fortin & Pinette Group in Lewiston. Committal services will then follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to the service at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
