We had more than expected correct entries for last week’s Mystery Photo taken in Belfast, Maine. The former Belfast National Bank Building stands at the five-way intersection of Main, Beaver, and Church streets at the historic commercial center of the city. The building was designed by Portland-based architect George M. Harding and built in 1878-79 by Israel Wood Parker of Belfast when the city was at its height as a shipping and shipbuilding center. The building is now home to Satori Belfast, an upscale Japanese restaurant. In a random drawing from all the correct entries, Wes Umsteadt of Hartford was picked as the winner of a $25 Hannaford Supermarket gift card.
