Richard R. Godin
LEWISTON – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Richard R. Godin, 93; he died peacefully on Nov. 21, 2025.
Born in Auburn on Feb. 27, 1932, to Albert and Aurore (Levesque) Godin, Richard was educated in Auburn schools and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
He married the love of his life, Constance P. Berube, on May 30, 1958. Together, they nurtured and raised six children.
For 25 years, Richard was a leading and respected insurance agent with Prudential Insurance, where he garnered several awards for his dedication and service.
An avid New England sports fan, Richard enjoyed his retirement with Connie, spending winters in Florida, taking scenic drives by the ocean, and cherishing time with his family.
He will be dearly missed by those he left behind, including his beloved wife, Connie; daughters Diane (Dan) Letourneau and Michelle (Jude) Binette; and sons Daniel (Andrea), Thomas (Vicky), and Michael (Christina). He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Richard was predeceased by his daughter, Elaine Godin Audet; sisters Emily Blanchette and Theresa Chamaillard; and brothers Emilien and Wilfred.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at the Andwell Hospice House for their compassionate care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation for Richard on Sunday, November 30, from 4-6 p.m., at the The Fortin & Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025 at Holy Family Church at 11 a.m. Committal Prayers will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Andwell Hospice House.
