Gabby Smith scored 20 points and Leavitt outscored Poland 17-7 in the fourth quarter on its way to a 41-37 girls basketball victory on Tuesday in Turner.

Jordyn Boulay added nine points for Leavitt (2-0).

Alivia Lemieux finished with 11 points for Poland (1-1).

BUCKFIELD 64, CARRABEC 59: Chloee Bennett scored 16 of her 24 points in the second half to help Buckfield edge visiting Carrabec in a Class D game Tuesday night in Buckfield.

Sarae Devoe added 16 points for the Bucks (3-0).

Ava Welch led Carrabec with 23 points. Ashlyn Courtney finished with 12.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 68, CAPE ELIZABETH 34: Abbey Steele finished with 17 points, while Bryn Gilmore and Ella Kenney added 16 and 13 points, respectively, to lead the Patriots (2-0) over the Capers (1-1) in Cape Elizabeth.

Anna Morse paced Cape Elizabeth with 10 points. Molly Brownell scored nine.

DIRIGO 73, RICHMOND 13: Emma Witas scored 24 points for the Cougars (2-0) in a win over Bobcats (1-1) in Dixfield.

Abigail Luczynski finished with 20 points, while Sophia Nino-Aguirre dropped in 10.

WINTHROP 35, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 25: Kylee Savage scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Ramblers (1-1) to a victory over the Falcons (0-2) in Rumford.

Madison Blanchard led Mountain Valley with 11 points.

VALLEY 76, PINE TREE ACADEMY 31: Kirsten Bigelow paced the Cavaliers (2-0) with 21 points in a win over the Breakers (0-2) at Freeport.

Valley also got 17 points from Delia Hill and 15 from Liana Hartwell.

Chantal Mbonimpa scored 17 points for Pine Tree.

LISBON 43, SACOPEE VALLEY 33: The Greyhounds (1-1) closed with a 15-1 run in the fourth quarter to rally past the Hawks (0-2) in Hiram.

Hannah Perron scored 16 points, Emily Long added 11 and Clara Madore had 10 for Lisbon.

Sacopee was paced by Mirielle Bridges with 11 points and Charlotte Cyr with 10.

EDWARD LITTLE 49, YORK 34: Alexis Creaser and Xavi Hall led a balanced attack for the Red Eddies (2-0) with nine points each in a win over the Wildcats (1-1) at Auburn.

Edward Little hit 10 3-pointers.

Nya Avery paced York with 15 points. Piper Catanese scored 10.

BOYS BASKETBALL

POLAND 79, LEAVITT 74: Damon Martin scored all eight of his points in overtime, including going 5 for 6 from the free-throw line to lift the Knights (1-1) past the Hornets (1-1) in Poland.

Nick Jamo had 20 points, seven rebounds and four steals for Poland. Alex Mains also scored 20 points and added four steals, while Jake Jamo contributed 16 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Darren Flagg made eight 3-pointers and finished with 24 points for Leavitt. Jacob Gibbs scored 18 points, Colin Scholbohm had 12 and Brody Poland chipped in with 11.

YORK 67, EDWARD LITTLE 47: Reece MacDonald scored 26 points, including 13 in the second quarter as the Wildcats (2-0) beat the Eddies (0-2) in York. 

Ronin Avery added 13 points for York.

Akol Maiwen scored 23 points to lead Edward Little. 

MARANACOOK 57, MONMOUTH ACADEMY 50: Jack Fontaine scored 23 points to lead the Black Bears (2-0) to a win over the Mustangs (0-2) in Monmouth.

Gage Mattson added 12 points for Maranacook.

SKOWHEGAN 65, OXFORD HILLS 44: Bryson Saucier scored 13 points as the River Hawks (2-0) beat the Vikings (0-2) in Skowhegan.

Jack Fitzpatrick added 12 points and Carter Nadeau had 11.

Cam Pulkkinen scored 13 points for Oxford Hills.

MT. ABRAM 59, TELSTAR 45: Chase Ross scored 13 points to lead the Roadrunners (2-0) past the Rebels (0-2) in Bethel.

Killian Pillsbury chipped in with 12 points and Chase Rose scored 11.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 62, CAPE ELIZABETH 47: Quentin Warrick scored 18 points to lead the Patriots (2-0) past the Capers (1-1) in Gray.

Isaiah Portas contributed 15 points and Carter Corson had 10.

Owen Beaureguard paced Cape Elizabeth with 19 points.

SACOPEE VALLEY 54, LISBON 46: Silas Nielsen scored 13 of his 27 points in the second quarter as the Hawks (2-0) recovered from an early deficit against the Greyhounds (1-1) in Lisbon.

Nielsen also had 14 rebounds and five blocked shots. Payton Young (13 points) and Isiah Nielson (10) each made three 3-pointers to aid the rally for Sacopee, which trailed 17-7 after one quarter.

Owen Hurd had 13 points and Brandon Long added 10 for the Greyhounds.

BOYS HOCKEY

FREEPORT CO-OP 12, PORTLAND CO-OP 1: Kiefer Gilligan and Jokubas Mostavicius each had three goals and an assists for Fryeburg/Lake Region/Oxford Hills (2-0) in a victory over Portland/Deering/South Portland/Waynflete (0-2) at Bridgton Ice Arena.

Kaden Storm and Gunner Truman both contributed a pair of goals. Garrett Wooster and Brody Patenaude also scored for the IceCats.

Charlie Borland netted a first-period goal for the Beacons.

Charlie Herrick stopped 22 shots for the Fryeburg co-op. Beacons goalie John Eisenhart made 25 saves.
