The Boston Red Sox traded second baseman Vaughn Grissom to the Los Angeles Angels for minor league outfielder Isaiah Jackson on Tuesday, according to multiple reporters.

The Red Sox acquired Grissom from Atlanta prior to the 2024 season in exchange for Chris Sale. In his first season with Atlanta, Sale won the NL Cy Young Award, while Grissom struggled with injuries and played in just 31 games for Boston. He hit .190 with six RBI.

Grissom did not play in the major leagues in 2025. The 24-year-old batted .270 with 13 homers and 48 RBI in 96 games with Triple-A Worcester this year.

Grissom made his major league debut with Atlanta in 2022.

Jackson was drafted by the Angels in the eighth-round of the 2025 draft. He hit .219 with a home run and four RBI in 10 games in High-A.
