Ryan Miotto scored the go-ahead goal with 9:35 remaining, lifting the Worcester Railers to a 4-2 win over the Maine Mariners in an ECHL game Saturday night at Cross Insurance Arena.
Max Andreev and Robert Cronin scored power-play goals for the Mariners, but Miotto broke a 2-2 tie just 1:13 after Cronin pulled Maine even.
Drew Callin added an empty-net goal with 26 seconds to go.
The regulation loss was Maine’s first at home since the home opener, ending an eight-game points streak at Cross Arena.
The Mariners held the lead for only 1:25 after Andreev’s goal midway through the second period. Cole Donhauser tied the game with an unassisted goal, then assisted on a goal by Matt DeMelis in the third period that gave Worcester a 2-1 advantage.
