ANSWER: You’ve made a great selection here and there are dozens more! No matter where you want to spend your time and talents, there is something for you in this great community that we call home. And if you don’t have time to volunteer, but still want to support these organizations, you can donate items and funds. Check out the organizations’ wish lists, donate gently used items if needed, write a check, or make a digital donation. Do good and feel good!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Is there somewhere local where I can donate soda can pop-tops? It seems that I remember the request for this in another Sun Spots. — Randy, no town

ANSWER: This question is asked quite often! Donations of soda can tabs can be made locally to Kora Shrine Center at 11 Sabattus St. in Lewiston.

Also check out local schools and churches. They may be collecting for the Shriners, Ronald McDonald House, and more.
