Braden New scored 30 points, and Oak Hill moved up in the Class C South Heal point standings by defeating Dirigo, 64-47, in a Mountain Valley Conference boys basketball game Wednesday night in Wales.

PJ Smith chipped in with 13 points for the Raiders (8-6), who leapfrogged Dirigo (8-6) into seventh place.

Liam Malchisky scored 16 points and Brady Philbrick tallied 15 for Dirigo.

MADISON 61, WINTHROP 34: Four Madison players finished in double figures as the Bulldogs (11-4) defeated the Ramblers (3-12) in Winthrop.

Jacob Linkletter led the way with 17 points. Brayden Furbush and Davyn Nichols each had 11 and Finn Haynie scored 10.

Graham Huri scored 22 points for Winthrop.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 60, LISBON 22: Four players scored in double figures for the Phoenix (13-2) in their Class C South victory over the Greyhounds (8-7) at Leavitt Area High School in Turner.

Owen Kelvey paced Spruce Mountain with 14 points, while Hunter Buote (three 3-pointers), Cai Dougher and Dylan Jewett finished with 11 points each.

Jaxson Roy-Thompson hit two treys and scored seven points for Lisbon.

The game was played at Leavitt due to installation of new bleachers at Spruce Mountain High School.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 63, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 33: Levi Laverdiere scored 22 points, Tyler Day chipped in with 13, and the Mustangs (9-5) rolled to a win over the Falcons (3-12) in Monmouth.

Ridge Duguay led Mountain Valley with 10 points.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

BUCKFIELD 50, PINE TREE ACADEMY 9: The Bucks (13-3) opened the game with a 22-0 advantage in the first quarter en route to a win over the Breakers (7-8) in Buckfield.

Chloee Bennett scored 13 of her 15 points in the opening quarter. Haleigh Campbell finished with 13 points and Sarae Devoe scored nine.

BRUNSWICK 53, EDWARD LITTLE 41: Freshman Emma Michaud scored a career-high 16 points, including five in the third quarter to help the Dragons overcome Edward Little in a Class A North girls basketball game at Brunswick.

The Dragons (5-10) trailed 27-23 at halftime before going on a 14-5 run in the third quarter, then outscored Edward Little 16-9 in the fourth to hand the Red Eddies just their second loss.

Freshman Sadie Mullen added seven points, 10 rebounds and four assists. Grace Road scored 15 points and Eliska Lomichkova had 10.

Elizabeth Galway led Edward Little (13-2) with 16 points.

MT. ABRAM 46, WINTHROP 25: Stella Peterson and Jenna Osgood led the Roadrunners (13-3) as they raced past the Ramblers (8-7) in Winthrop.

Peterson scored a game-high 17 points and Osgood scored 14.

Kylee Mansir made two 3-pointers and scored six points for Winthrop, while Grace Folsom, Evelyn Mortimer and Kylee Savage each finished with five points.

BOYS HOCKEY

LEWISTON CO-OP 9, WINDHAM CO-OP 1: Aizyk Laliberte scored five times for Lewiston/Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse (8-3-1) in a victory over Windham/Westbrook/Bonny Eagle/Sacopee Valley (4-8) at The Colisee in Lewiston.

Anthony Kavanaugh contributed a goal and two assists, Landon Desjardins and Parker Crafts each had a goal and an assist, and Colton Poulin also scored. Kai Stockford stopped 15 shots in the win.

Nolan Perkins scored in the second period for the Trail Blazers. Sawyer Perkins made 34 saves.
