Owen Gallatin’s power-play goal 4:36 into overtime lifted the Maine Mariners to a 4-3 come-from-behind win over the Adirondack Thunder on Sunday at Cross Insurance Arena for their 10th straight win.
Down 3-2 late in regulation, the Mariners pulled goalie Brad Arvanitis for an extra skater and tied the game when Sebastian Vidmar scored with 47 seconds left.
After the Thunder’s Dylan Wendt was called for a tripping penalty in OT, Gallatin converted a one-timer in the right circle for the game-winner.
Jacob Perreault scored two goals for the Mariners. Brian Carrabes, Grant Loven and Dylan Wendt scored for the Thunder.
Maine (31-15-5-2) pulled into a second-place tie with Adirondack in the North Division playoff race.
● The Mariners announced Sunday the signing of defenseman Tynan Ewart.
A native of Duncan, British Columbia, the 24-year-old Ewart was a junior captain at Northern Michigan University this season. In 34 games, he scored one goal and added nine assists.
