Brooklyn Kalmikov had two goals and an assist to lift the Maine Mariners to a 6-2 win over the Worcester Railers on Friday in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Maine won for the 13th time in 15 games and improves to 34-16-6-2. The Mariners are in second place in the ECHL’s North Division, four points behind first-place Wheeling.
The Mariners took a 2-0 in the first period on goals by Jaxon Bellamy and Antonio Venuto. Kalmikov scored two straight in the second period and Zach Jordan added a goal to make it 5-0. Worcester scored back-to-back goals early in the third, but Max Andreev scored an insurance goal for Maine with 11:20 left.
Luke Cavallin made 24 saves for Maine.
