Ralph L. DeHahn
BRUNSWICK – Ralph L. DeHahn, a dedicated family man and resilient spirit, passed from this life on April 16, 2026.
Born on Oct. 5, 1938, in Mechanic Falls, Ralph was the epitome of reliability; a characteristic that shone in all aspects of his life. He was a loving husband, an understanding father, a cherished grandfather, great-grandfather, and a reliable brother. His life was a testament to the adage, “Family is not an important thing, it’s everything.”
Ralph lived a life rich in color and creativity, brought to life by his hobbies of painting and photography. His love for the arts was only surpassed by his dedication to his work. He worked as a hand sewer in the shoe industry, a testament to his dexterity and meticulous nature. His work ethic was emblematic of his resilient character, a trait that was admired by all who knew him. Whether in his hometown of Mechanic Falls, his residence in Brunswick, or during his time in Northport, Fla., Ralph’s reliable and resilient spirit left an indelible mark.
Married to his beloved wife, Marie DeHahn since Oct. 8, 1960, Ralph was a beacon of love and stability in his family.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; his daughter, Dianne Coy; his sister, Helen Palmer, and her husband Richard, and his brother, Robert DeHahn, and his wife Vicky.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Isabelle DeHahn; and his siblings Henry, Paul Jr., Richard, Linda, Rose, Lawrence, Peggy, and Paulette. He was also preceded in death by his son, David L. DeHahn.
It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Ralph, but we find solace in the words of Helen Keller, “What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”
