DIXFIELD – Wesley E. Smith, 89, died Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was a resident of Weld Street in Dixfield.
Wesley was born in Dixfield, on May 15, 1936, the son of Harry and Dorothy Smith. He attended Dixfield schools. He worked at the IP Mill as a forklift operator and enjoyed gardening, cooking, hunting, fishing, and shopping.
Wesley was married in Dixfield, on Oct. 31, 1958, to Caroline “Caddy” Stewart who survives of Dixfield. Other survivors include a son Alan Smith of Dixfield, a grandson Brandon Smith and a half-brother, Donnie Hinckley.
