HARRISON – Michael Robert Giguere, 74, of Harrison, passed away on March 25, 2026, due to complications of a stroke, with family and friends by his side.

Born on April 24, 1951, in Lewiston, Mike was known for his extensive knowledge of and passion for all genres of music, electronics, automotives, motorcycles and classy cars.

Mike spent his life working with sound systems and stereo components. He was a sound mixer for Poor Boy, a local band, and traveled extensively with them while they were on the road. Mike was an enthusiastic and skilled photographer, golfer and snowboarder and had many interests, including experimenting with raising honeybees and making honey on his extensive Maine property. He admired classy cars and motorcycles and went to legendary motorcycle rallies out west. Mike loved his little dog, Boris, was inspired by space travel, and appreciated a good martini. Mount Washington held a special place in his heart.

Michael is survived by his sisters Denise, Sabattus, and Lynda (Rick Clair) of Alaska, and his brother, Rocky (Sharon) of Arizona; two nieces, two nephews; four great-nieces and one great-nephew.

He was predeceased by his brother, Melvin; father Rocky, mother Marie; and his younger brother, Andy. He will be greatly missed.

His sisters would like to thank Mike’s many dear friends for their thoughtfulness, visits and for helping them throughout his illness; the CNAs and nursing staff of Brentwood Rehab Center for their loving care; and Constellation Hospice for their comfort and support.

A celebration of life will be held on June 6, 3 to 5 p.m., at the Olde Mill Tavern in Harrison.
