Gilbert L. “Gibby” Hodgkins

ROXBURY – Gilbert L. “Gibby” Hodgkins, Sr. 78, died Tuesday July 6, 2021 at Central Maine Medical in Lewiston. He was a resident of River Street in Roxbury.

Born in Roxbury, ME on October 14, 1942 he was a son of Alphonso and Valeda (Thibodeau) Hodgkins. He attended Mexico schools. Gibby was a self-employed carpenter and contractor in the area for many years. He was an active member of the Roxbury ATV Club, he enjoyed stock car racing and hosting mud runs at his home.

He is survived by granddaughters, Katie Ricci and husband Brandon of Roxbury, Kasey Smith of Maine, grandsons, Kevin Jamison and wife Kim of Mexico and Kyle Hodgkins of Maine, step-son Michael Webber of Roxbury, great grandchildren Isaac, Isabella, Haylee, Logan, Connor, Alee, Bentlee, and Kayden, sisters, Rosemay Marston of Roxbury, Leona White of Rumford and Phyllis Harlow and husband Thomas of Dixfield, a brother Garey Hodgkins and wife Gay of Jackman, Me, a son-in-law Bruce Jamison and wife Elizabeth of Roxbury. He was predeceased by his daughters, Lisa Jamison and Penny Hodgkins, a son, Gilbert “Lee” Hodgkins, Jr, his long-time companion Donna Webber, brothers, Alphonso, Bobbie, Albert, Ronnie, and Roger, sisters, Lorraine Touchette, Arlene Baldwin, Anita Perry, and Irene Leighton.
