YALESVILLE, Conn. — Helene Mabel Gagne Keene, 86, of Wooding Road, Yalesville, Conn., formerly of Mechanic Falls, died Monday, March 21, at her home, with the love of her life, Carmen DeAngelis by her side.
She was born in Poland, July 4, 1924, a daughter of the late Fred and Mabel Primrose Cooley Gagne and had been employed by International Silver in Wallingford, Conn., until her retirement. Mrs. Keene was an avid trout fisherman and a member of Bassmasters.
In addition to Carmen, she is survived by her four sons, Roger Keene and his wife, Sharon, of Meriden, Conn., Milton Keene and his wife, Linda, of Massachusetts, Fred Keene and his wife, Karen, of Meriden, Conn., and Frank Keene and his fiancee, Susan Highbridge, of East Hartford, Conn.; her two sisters, June Keene and her husband, Wallace, of Florida, and Sylvia Jackson and her husband, Carl, of Arkansas; her three brothers, Frederick Gagne and his wife, Doris and Robert Gagne and his wife, Ida, all of Maine and Louis Gagne of Louisiana; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved first husband, Milton Keene; her two brothers, Donald and Edward Keene; and her sister, Eleanor Jordan.
