Folk-rock legend Gordon Lightfoot, whose songs have been recorded by some of the world’s most renowned artists, will perform Tuesday, March 29, at Merrill Auditorium. Nominated for five Grammy Awards and winner of 16 Juno Awards (Canada’s Grammy equivalent), some of Lightfoot’s hit songs include “If You Could Read My Mind,” “Sundown,” “Carefree Highway,” “Rainy Day People” and “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.” Lightfoot was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1986 and the Canadian Country Music Hall Of Fame in 2001.
