Republican lawmakers and conservative media gaslight Americans about the pandemic, the election results, and the uprising. For whatever reason Republican voters believe their politicians ad infinitum.

Republican lawmakers and conservative media tell the same lies repeatedly and have gotten excellent mileage from them with their electorate. They see something that has gone wrong and immediately foist the blame on liberals. And yes, GOP voters are now more likely to blame President Joe Biden and Democrats in Congress for what led to the Capitol attack than they are Donald Trump and GOP lawmakers.

But as usual, they have nothing to offer as proof. If one ever has a disagreement with a Trump-style conservative and asks for proof of what they say, they’ll fare no better than I have in the past 20 years.

Zero proof. If they heard it on Fox or read it in their slanted media, it becomes truth to them. Never mind what they may have seen with their own eyes.

Since the GOP has been going all out to limit voting by their “opponents” in America, the number of Americans who say “everything possible” should be done to make voting easy has declined — with the decrease coming entirely among Republicans.

Two things push the distortion and false blame — racism and fear. Republicans freaked when Obama, a real Black person, became president. And they fear that the white population could permanently become a minority race within the next 20 years for the first time in history.
