WATERFORD — The Waterford Board of Selectmen recently discussed job description for a part-time Rec Director. Applications will be due by Sept. 3, and are to be submitted to Randy Lessard at Town of Waterford. Selectman Todd Sawyer made a motion to approve the job description and posting of position, which then passed.
The board also discussed a job description for a part-time Adult Community Coordinator. Motion was made by Select Board member Sawyer to approve the job description written by Select Board member Jamie Toohey for newspaper posting.
There was some discussion around establishing direct deposit for employee checks; however, there would be a cost and there is not a large demand for it from employees. There was also discussion of having a payroll company do the payroll rather than doing it internally, since the end of the year tax work is time-consuming. They considered and discussed having a company take care of all payroll services.
Toohey also suggested the town look into making online vehicle registration renewals available to customers.
