Luisa Maria Bornales
LEWISTON – Luisa Maria Bornales, 67, of Lewiston joined her mother and late daughter, Christine, in Heaven on August 19, 2021 with her daughter Judy by her side.She was born on Sept. 28, 1953 in the Philippines. In 1980, she migrated to Lewiston from the Philippines with her former husband, David Perreault, and her three children.In Lewiston she worked at the local shoe factory. She enjoyed cooking Filipino food for everyone to enjoy, and playing Mahjong with her friends. She was known throughout the Filipino community and will always be remembered for her witty remarks, keen sense of humor, and honest opinion.She is survived by her daughter, Judy Bornales, her sons, Christopher Bornales and Gilbert Bornales; close family friend Rick Thurlow who was like a son; her eight grandchildren; her 1st great- grandchild; her two sisters, Mary Bignay and Helen Bornales; and many nieces and nephews who loved her.Services will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Funeral Alternatives, 25 Tampa St. Lewiston, Maine 04240. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., with a funeral service to be held at 4 p.m.Condolences may be expressed at http://www.funeralalternatives.net or http://www.facebook.com/FALewiston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Judy Bornales to help with the cost of services
