DURHAM — Kendra Moreau, 18, of Davis Road was injured when the pickup she was driving was broadsided by a tractor-trailer on Route 136 Monday morning.

Moreau pulled out of Davis Road to make a left turn onto Route 136 into the path of the southbound truck, according to Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Jim Jacques.

Jacques said the truck, driven by Scott Brown, 51, of South Paris, jackknifed off to the left side of the road. He said Moreau complained of pain and was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston but was not seriously injured, according to a family member.

Brown was not injured.

Moreau’s 2003 GMC Sonoma was demolished, with estimated damage at $6,000. Damage was estimated at $10,000 to the 2002 Western Star tractor-trailer owned by NCW Trucking of Durham, in the 10 a.m. crash. No charges were filed.
