Scout cookies

DIXFIELD — Girl Scouts will offer a last opportunity to get Girl Scout cookies from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 10, at the Old Opera House, Main Street.

Residents may purchase cookies and donate them to Maine men and women serving in the armed forces. With the help of the 101st Air Refueling Wing Family Services, Maine service men and women will receive the boxes.

Chapter to meet

RUMFORD — Royal Arch Chapter 56 will hold a stated meeting on Tuesday, April 12, at Blazing Star Lodge, Route 232, Rumford Corner. A 6:30 supper will be followed by a 7:30 chapter opening. Work will be done in preperation for inspection in the MMM Degree on Monday, June13.

Relay auction

CANTON — The Canton Cruiser’s Relay For Life team will sponsor a Chinese and silent auction at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 16. Doors will open at 11 a.m. Hot dogs, chili, chips, desserts and drinks will be available.

Auction items will include gift certificates, handcrafted goods, kitchen items, jewelry, home decor items, holiday items, dollar table, tools, lawn and garden items and gift baskets.

Poodunck news

DIXFIELD — The Poodunck Snowmobile Club members aid those who have land in Dixfield and see the groomer using it should have received a Christmas card from the Poodunck Club. If not, call Jon Holmes at 562-4690.

Spring concert

BERLIN, N.H. — “IMAI Northward Bound Chamber Music” will return to the St. Kieran Arts Center for its annual spring concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 10, featuring selections by a string quartet of international musicians. Tickets are $12, adults; $6, students.

The musicians are artist/members of the International Musical Arts Institute, a nonprofit organization, which brings together young aspiring musicians and seasoned professionals to work and perform together during July in Fryeburg, Maine. Sunday’s program will feature three works for violin, viola and cello.
