FREEPORT — Jordan Knighton ran for a pair of scores, leading third-seeded Freeport (6-2) to a 27-7 win over sixth-seeded Poland (2-5) in a Class D football quarterfinal victory Friday night.
Knighton scored the first two touchdowns. Nick White and Tony Casale also had rushing touchdowns for Freeport, which next faces either No. 2 Winthrop/Monmouth/Hall-Dale or No. 7 Bucksport. The Ramblers and Golden Bucks play Saturday at 7 p.m.
