NORWAY — The Norway Memorial Library is seeking Oxford Hills teenagers to celebrate Cinquo de Mayo in the Teen Room at the library on Wednesday, May 4, from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
Participants will create a bead necklace, bracelet, earrings, or key chain to wear on Thursday, May 5, Cinquo de Mayo, a Mexican holiday celebrating Mexico’s heritage and pride. This program is open to Oxford Hills teenagers in grades seven through 12.
The library will provide the beads, string, strands and wire, and some nuts and washers for more graphic-style jewelry. There will also be Mexican music, salsa and chips, and Horchata.
