LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed six new members to the board of directors and appointed John Rice, director of operations at Schooner Estates Senior Living, as chairman.
New directors include:
• Mark Adams, president and CEO of Sebago Technics Inc.
• Betsy Sibley, vice president of marketing at Community Credit Union.
• Elise Johansen, executive director of Safe Voices.
• Alyson Daniels, executive assistant to the president at Central Maine Community College.
• Sophia Bailey, owner of Caribbean Life Grocery & Gift Shop.
• Gael Karomba, co-founder and CFO of Happy Haven.
These six bring many years of governance experience and business expertise. They will add specialized skills and perspectives to the board, composed of 21 directors with experience in organizational and project management, community engagement, social justice and advocacy, workforce development and professional advancement, entrepreneurial support and small business management and financial literacy and direct support.
