Aaron Delcourt of Rumford, a senior at Mountain Valley High School, is one of nearly 90 high school students who exhibited paintings, photography and ceramics at the school’s annual arts night Thursday. A jazz band also played and student-made quilts were displayed. Delcourt said he is influenced by Spanish surrealist Salvador Dali who is known for his sometimes bizarre paintings. Aaron created some bizarre paintings, including a shadow that curves, and a blazing corn dog running out of a toaster oven. He plans to attend the University of Maine at Farmington in the fall with a major in English and minor in art.
