Olivia Holbrook, 10, of Auburn looks before casting her line while fishing alongside 9-year-old Kailey Hart, left, and Gabrielle Merrill, 10, during the Auburn Parks and Recreation Department Fishing Derby at Pettengill Park on Saturday. Children ages 9 to 15 fished for stocked brook trout during the annual event. Trophies were awarded for the largest fish, the greatest total length and greatest total weight. The department will hold another derby on May 14 for children ages 3-8. A donation by the Auburn Exchange Club made the derby possible, said Parks and Recreation Director Ravi Sharma.
