NEW VINEYARD — Funeral services for Millard S. Parlin Jr. “Sonny,” of New Vineyard, were held Saturday from Old South Congregational Church with the Rev. Marcia Charles and the Rev. Lynda Giard co-officiating. Darlene Mooar, soloist, sang “Amazing Grace,” accompanied by Patricia Hayden, organist. Congregation hymns included “In The Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” A personal eulegy was given by his nephew, Gary Parlin and close New Vineyard friend, David Fletcher. Following services, the Hospitality Committee hosted a reception in the church vestry. Committal services followed at 5:30 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Farmington. Pallbearers were Gary Parlin, Barry Haggan, Hayden Atwood, David Parlin, Bruce Turcotte and David Fletcher. Arrangements by Wiles Remembrance Center, Farmington.
