RANGELEY — Funeral services for Fred Martin of Rangeley were held Saturday from the Church of the Good Shepherd with the Rev. Jud Pealer officiating, assisted by Deacon, the Rev. Gail Kertland. Organist was Terry Martin, lector was Burt Weymouth and layreader was Louise Doak. The prelude included “The First Time Ever I Saw your Face”; congregation hymns included “You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord,” “God be with you till we meet again,” “The Strife is O’er,” “Take My Life” and “Eternal Father.” Readings were from the Book of Wisdom 3:1-5, 9; Psalm 139:1-11; Revelation 21:2-7 and John 5:24-27. Following Mass, committal prayers were recited at Evergreen Cemetery by the Rev. Pealer and public Masonic services were conducted by Kemankeag Masonic Lodge of Rangeley, assisted by Ernest Lowell. Following services, a comfort reception was hosted by the ECW in the church undercroft. Arrangements by Wiles Remembrance Center, Farmington.
