Thomas Richard Fortin
LEWISTON – Thomas Richard Fortin died peacefully March 10, 2022 at his home with his loving wife, Doris Jones Fortin by his side. He was born Nov. 20, 1938 in Lewiston, the son of Anthime and Elise Berube Fortin.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ray and Norman Fortin and sister, Cecile Morin.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Doris, whom he married July 14, 1962 at Holy Family in Lewiston. Other survivors include son, Ricky and wife, Mary of Memphis, Tenn., son, Gary and wife, Pam of Marietta, Ga. and sister-in-law, Pauline Fortin, of Lewiston. Tom has four grandchildren, Elizabeth (fiance Matt Kroeger) of Omaha, Neb., Justin of Atlanta, Ga., Benjamin of Nashville, Tenn., and Sarah of Marietta, Ga. He is additionally survived by many nieces and nephews.
Tom was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Tom proudly served in the United States Marines from February 1956 until May 1960. He spent a productive 42-year career at Selmore Fixtures in Lewiston as a cabinet maker.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday March 21 at Funeral Alternatives, 25 Tampa St., Lewiston from 10 to 11 a.m. A Liturgy of the Word will follow at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to http://www.funeralalternatives.net.
