Students in the French department at St. Dominic Regional High School are rehearsing a French-Canadian play, “Tit-Coq,” which will be presented at St. Peter’s School auditorium on Sunday, April 16. There will be two performances, one at 2 and one at 7:30 pm. Members of the cast are Ann Villeneuve, Roland Moreau, Susan Moreau, Rene Veilleux, Susan Lambert and Michael Lemieux.

25 Years Ago: 1997

The Stanton Bird Club will meet at 7 PM, Monday at the High Street Congregational Church. The program will be a presentation titled “Owls of Maine: the Habits and Adaptations of Maine’s Native Owls.” The program will be presented by the Chewonki Foundation of Wiscasset and will focus on the unique characteristics of owls which set them apart from other birds. The speakers will show slides, diagrams, taxidermic displays and three live owls in their presentations. The Stanton Bird Club is comprised of individuals in the Lewiston-Auburn area with an interest in bird watching and natural history.
